Freeze/Thaw
The trails are currently in good shape when thawed or frozen. Expect conditions to fluctuate a bit this week as the temp crosses the freezing point. Freeze/thaw makes for soft and slick trails, please use good judgment and don't ride if you're making ruts. Interested in making the trails better? Freeze/Thaw
Freeze/thaw rules: If it is below freezing and dark out, the trails will be frozen and open. And frozen trails are awesome to ride! But if the sun is out the trails will thaw quickly and be very soft and closed. We can not patrol this as it changes by the hour, and sometimes by the minute. If you are not comfortable checking this, please ask questions or don't ride. It is up to each rider to check conditions, and please help educate others how to judge the trail conditions. We are likely in permanent freeze/thaw until we get snow cover. That means if it is not dark and below freezing, the trails are not open. Sun thaws the top layer, and cold weather just does not dry trails. Stay tuned here, we do our best to keep trail conditions up to date and open them whenever possible. But as stated before we will more cautious through next spring to protect the new trails until they can firm up. This new trail is going to be a blast next summer! But please be gentle on them to protect all the work and money invested. If the trails are soft please don't wreck all the awesome new work. Stop, then walk out to the gravel trail. Please stay off and work to keep others off as well. Never ride over the back of a berm to shortcut to another trail. Hope for freezing weather. Please let others know the damage they are causing if they ride wet trails or damage the new and expensive trail. Thanks for your support!

Please stay away when trails are soft. The golf course closes the gates at night and apparently at random so park at Greenway Station or Blackhawk if you can.

These trail conditions are updated by humans who care. Trail conditions are subjective, and may change at any time. Always use good judgment when using the trails, and don't ride if you are leaving ruts.
