We hope to see you there:

The how and where to become a Blackhawk member.

http://www.blackhawkskiclub.org/membership/registration/

Blackhawk is an IMBA affiliate club tied to the CORP IMBA chapter. Non-members can join members for social events but you have to be a member to participate in the sport activities. For $35 you have a metro area riding spot with the best flow trail in the area. For $390 your family has the best ski bargain around. There are options between. Significant trail improvements have been funded and will occur this season.

Quarry Ridge (CORP Trail) / Thanks for the big boost.

Thanks all for a good weekend of work. Quarry Ridge will be a better place to ride, and I hope my muscles will be ready for the next weekend of trail work.

Looks like it carries enough beer for a small crew. How about one in the 2014 budget.

Blackhawk Mountain Biking / 2013 Membership.
« on: May 07, 2013, 10:36 am »
Please remember your Blackhawk 2013 summer season renewal or new membership if you're not a year-round (ski season) member. The ski season memberships done in the fall season include summer usage.

Non-members are welcome at Blackhawk for social and public events, but you must be a current member to participate in sports and trail work on the property.

Blackhawk Ski Club is an IMBA affiliate club but your Blackhawk membership is not an IMBA or CORP membership.

Thank you.

Middleton Bike Park (CORP Trail) / Get ready.
« on: April 19, 2013, 11:27 am »
Get ready for our May 4th and 5th weekend followed by a good year.

We'll start with some prep for the "Take a kid mountain biking" event, have some fun with kids and get back to work.

Some pics of where we left off in November and what mother nature's done over the winter.

It will be really sweet if we have the pump track expansion and new single track done the 4th and 5th.

General Discussion / How's this for ridiculous.
« on: December 09, 2012, 07:27 am »
I hope not to offend those I know at Trek but this surely qualifies for some type of butt clown award. I will not confuse the old hybrid bike in my neighbor's garage with any automobiles, race teams, or celebrities.

A viewer of the case of the .pdf doesn't display.

Middleton Bike Park (CORP Trail) / December and open.
« on: November 27, 2012, 08:37 pm »
The city announced plans to open the Pleasant View gates and club house Dec 1 - 3.

The bike park is blown off and in good shape but please be careful if the dirt is soft.

Blackhawk can ride well if other places are soft. Snow making has started but trails are still open and in the best condition in years.

Trailbuilding and Advocacy / Nice addition for the RASTA builders.
« on: November 19, 2012, 08:03 pm »
I noticed the RASTA builders got a mini ex! Their work 15 min from our cabin has been pretty sweet. I think those berms, bridges and benches are only going to get better faster.

Congratulations to them for raising the money and making it happen.

Middleton Bike Park (CORP Trail) / Quality stuff!
« on: November 11, 2012, 09:58 pm »
Here's the beginning of new work in the bike park. The CORP TTF Crew and volunteers did a superb job in every way. The feature rides as well as it's made.

We will continue the progression next season.

Thank you.

Middleton Bike Park (CORP Trail) / Gonzo season wrap up.
« on: October 31, 2012, 09:48 am »
Stay tuned for a big few days Fri - Sunday.

We've got all of wood work, massive load of dirt, machines and operator on tap. This weekend's also the last official opening of the club house so the beer needs to be gone. Roughly translated this means use it or lose it, pitch in and 2013 is off to a good start before 2012 is over.

Stay tuned for details. For now we might do machine work rough placement on Friday afternoon to accommodate weather.

I will be spending as much of my weekend as possible between the bike park and Blackhawk to prepare for late season, winter and spring.

Some pics showing what we've been up to and plan to finish.

Middleton Bike Park (CORP Trail) / Busy weekend.
« on: October 21, 2012, 08:39 pm »
A busy weekend at the bike park. The TTF crew was hard at it, Aaron attacked the leaves, and Birken was digging all day today. It was a pleasant surprise to see a steady stream of families and preschool through high school kids.

Thanks for the help all.

Stay tuned for more ad hoc work sessions and riding.
