Great news.  I was kind of dreading having to go out there tonight with all that still had to be done.  I should still be out around 5:00.  Hopefully it will be just minor stuff to take care of.

Sounds good Thom. I have not gotten any reports back from the work this afternoon.

I know the Mr. Race Director is planning to be out there tonight as well. Hopefully things went well this afternoon and you two will just be polishing things up. I know all of the trails need to be blown off yet. I would be using a face mask for that task. Majorly dusty out there!

Thanks to everyone who put in the huge effort to get the trail ready for this weekend. You guys are the ones that deserve HUGE Thank You's 8)

Thanks to Bruce Pedrick for running the DR Mower and getting the Connector shaped up this afternoon. Thanks to Thom for running out and getting the trimming on Veritas done. Thanks to Tom and his brother Terry for all that they did and will be doing. Everyone can have a beer on me when I get a chance to get you one. I will make that a beverage of choice in honor of Thom ;)

And the biggest, baddest, Most Boss Worker (MBW) of the day award goes out to Mike Meccia. I met him to get started before noon today. And guess who was still in the parking lot when I came by to check things out after 8p tonight? None other than Mike Meccia! Dude, I will buy you any beer you would like, from any country you would like!

Thanks for coming through guys and making it happen. It is people like you who make things like the Battle possible.

Now to move into touch-up mode and set up for tomorrow :)

Pisgah miles are like dog years.....1 pisgah mile = 7 regular mtn. bike

Paul rides that bike like a 13 yr old on a pornstar. He's having tons of fun but doesn't really know what to do with it: About Paul's first ride on a fully

Only trail item for tomorrow is cleanup DR Trip out to the climb up to Rip N Ride. My Skihl pass is the only activity it's seen.

A quick walk through the park with blower and mask will get the trails ready to go.

Awesome!

Thom, Mike, Bruce and Bonner get the workhorse awards for getting CamRock ready to rip for this weekend. And for all the work this spring leading up to this as well. Thanks again guys. You have been my stalwarts.

CORP is lucky to have guys like you. You do us proud 8)

Two other things for the To Do List today:
1) Remove the jump that is on the main line on the downhill section of Mayor's Meander. It ruined a couple of riders last year when hitting it by accident. We will replace and expand once we build a separate jump line down that hill. Right now it is a hazard.
2) Cut down the Wild Parsnip that covers the hillside below the CamRock III shelter. People can get some nasty burns from that stuff.

I'll be out around 10:00 today for a different reason.  I had a couple of grandsons ask me to take them biking on the trails.  A little change of pace should give me time to practice the skinnies.  Will see what the rest of my day is like and try to lend a hand after.

What time are you going to be out there Tom? Am I right that we need to get that course up ASAP? I believe it was posted to be done by today?
If needed who else can help get this done quickly tomorrow? I am supposed to be on yard duty in the am but will get over there to get his done. Hate to have us looking bad as people come to pre-ride.
Besides camping in my backyard, my neighbor is having a big wedding rehearsal party tomorrow so we need to have our place looking good as well :P
