I put in a few hours this morning, mostly on Beer Run. I cleared branches, smoothed the track and removed debris, added some rocks in a few places, fixed up the last bermed corner, and chopped away that huge log spear at the bottom. That last corner still needs some work, and there is a log jutting out at the very bottom. Overall, that trail is in good shape, and packing down well.

I saw Dave and heard Josh in IMBA Influence clearing brush. And the big leaning tree is now a beautiful skinny! Nice work, Dave and Josh!

I did manage to get out for a quick lap afterward.

Nice, can't wait to ride it!

I don't know if you ever rode the michigan tech trails, some great wood work out there, I was so pissed I crashed the day before and couldn't risk riding some of it!

Walked through the last section of woods with the trimmer (Corkscrew and Rattlesnake).  Will get back out there again this week for a few hours.  Is there anything on top of the list that you would like done first?

Thom.
You walked Corkscrew and Rattlesnake. Corkscrew has had the water issues addressed. Rattlesnake has not. Someone could walk the trails starting at Rattlesnake with a Rogoe Hoe in their hand. You will see the work that was done and where. The trail needs deberming and make sure water is getting off the trail at least every 10'. This needs to be completed through to the end of Rattlesnake. The Nicks or rolling grade rises should be built like we did them. At least a bike length long.

This could be really important if we would get any rain near or during the race. There are a number of areas on that trail holding water.

Rode it. It was sweet. I also nailed the crookjed log ride at the end of Outback tonight for the first time!  I can still officially say I ride every feature at CamRock ;D

That new cherry skinny is sweet! Though I can't say I planned to ride it. It was more like "Oh there is that new sweet skinny they were talking about. Well I am going to see how far I can get on it. And before I knew it i was at the end of it thinking. Holy crap that was sweet 8)

Heading out after work to do some more trimming today.  Chuck,  I'll have to get a hold of you to get a rogue hoe at some point.  If you have a few minutes tonight you can throw one in the back of my truck.  I'll probably be out there until around 7:00.

I walked through Gettin' Started, Stonefly, and the beginning of Woodchuck.  I did a little bit in the Cliff Edge loop, but ran out of gas and had to call it a night.

Tom, I think you, I, or somebody ought to be getting a map. We take it and mark off the trail sections as they are prepped for the race. Right now we have a lot of work done. But there are spots that are missed. This would help us direct folks that want to help. We need to get a lot done in the next few days. I will try to start marking a map if I get out for a ride today. If others get out there, report in if a trail is done or needs work, and what needs done.

I have an extensive Google Earth document but lets keep it simple. Here is a list of trails that we are using the race in order of use in the map.

NEARLY ALL OF THEM! It's easier to say which ones we are not using.

Woodchuck outside of the double track
EXPERT LOOP
Bob Sled Run
Cliff Edge
Tynactin
AREA 51
OUTBACK

You missed my point Tom. We need to get marking a map to keep track of what is done, and what needs to be done yet.

I thought you were talking about the courses. How about hanging a map and highlighter in the storage closet.
