06/12/2021 08:45 AM06/13/2021 04:15 PMAmerica/ChicagoMadison | 2-Day CampNinjas are coming to Madison! Our 2-day Camp gives you a chance to build up and clean up your ‘toolbox’ of mountain bike skills. This comprehensive program puts the entire Ninja curriculum together into one epic weekend. The camp kicks off with an overview of the foundational riding skills and builds up to more advanced material over the course of the weekend including jumping, high speed cornering, technical climbing/descending, drops and more. The weekend is taught in a progressive format meaning each skill builds on another, giving you an opportunity to progress at your own pace. You’ll leave the 2-Day Camp with the confidence to tackle rougher terrain, corner with greater speed and control, and negotiate trail obstacles and drops with commitment. We’ll give you the tools to find your flow on singletrack, switchbacks, and berms; all with less pedaling, more efficiency and better use of the trail’s natural features. *Please note, this curriculum is specifically designed for adult learners. We recommend riders age 15-17 attend with a parent or adult (minimum age 15). A minimum of two years riding experience is recommended to join us for this multi-day event. Saturday, June 12  @  1:45pm - 4:30pm06/12/2021 01:45 PM06/12/2021 04:30 PMAmerica/ChicagoMadison | Jumping Mini-ClinicNinjas are coming to Madison! Are you ready to take your mountain biking to the next level, literally? Jumping your mountain bike is NOT as simple as Ready. Set. JUMP! Learning how to safely and successfully jump (and land) your mountain bike involves a range of key components and constantly changing variables. We’ll take you through a series of progressions that will help you understand all the components that come together to create a successful jump. We’ll start with basic wheel lifts, bunny hops, and manuals and work our way up to weighting and un-weighting over a jump. From there, we’ll have an opportunity to practice on small jumps, ride multiple jumps in succession, learn the correct way to land and more! All training is done in a controlled environment, either on an appropriate feature (table top) on the local trails or using manufactured ramps in a grassy area. By the end of the clinic, our goal is to have you successfully clearing a 4-5 foot gap jump (approximately 2 feet in the air) and landing safely and predictably. *Please note, we require 2 years riding experience or previous attendance at a Ninja Fundamentals Clinic, Intermediate/Advanced Clinic, Camp or Adventure to attend a Jumping Mini-Clinic. This curriculum is specifically designed for adult learners. We recommend riders under age 15 attend with a parent or adult (minimum age 11). Thursday, June 17  @  6pm - 9pm06/17/2021 06:00 PM06/17/2021 09:00 PMAmerica/ChicagoCamRock Thursday Night RidesThis ride happens all year. If the trails are open we are riding. If they aren't, well stay tuned. We just might post up for a road or doubletrack ride. When it gets cold we put on more clothes. When it snows we switch to fatter tires. When it gets dark we turn on our lights. At CamRock the weekend starts on Thursday! Come on out for some great riding with some great people. Bring your own or make new friends when you get here. This is what riding is all about! All ages, genders and abilities. All you need is the ability to ride and a positive attitude. Meet up afterward for some distanced socializing. Meet at the CORP Garage. Head out on the trails at 6 bells. Ride for an hour or two, depending on how we/you are feeling. The group generally splits into multiple groups depending on abilities and how hard folks want to ride, then meets bac at the CORP garage for some BS and beverages. Hope to see you out here! Please Note: These are loosely organized rides intended to build community. Our ride leaders are volunteers; we will try to have a leader for all the rides, weather permitting. Sometimes things just don't work out. Please understand that we may not be able to provide last-minute updates on cancellations or replies to your messages. Keep an eye on the trail conditions and the weather forecast, then use your best judgement to decide if it's a good day to ride, just like always.
