in Group Rides, Bike Trips, and Events

Pitchblack is less than a month away.  Time to charge up those lights and head to CamRock for some night rides.   

Sun is setting about 8:20 now, so I am thinking 8:30 would be a good start time.  What nights are people available to ride?

Got one in the other night.... But it was at Standing Rocks. A lot of fun to be out in the dark again!

Let me know and I would love to get out. Though I am gone this weekend.

Rode at Camrock on Fr night - no need for the spray... Few bugs on parking lot but that was it.

I got one in last night at QR. (double flatted, but fixed) It was a ton of fun, but really works my night time skills.  Being away of so many more things.

Fixing flats in the dark is a skill that I can attest may come in handy. Last year double-flatted on a single lap. Trying to repair my double pinch flat because my other tube was now missing the stem, (in the dark and rain no less!), did not go as smoothly as I would have hoped.

Chuck, I do believe you have riding without a working light under your belt as well, if I recall correctly!

Yeah I am pretty sure I am the only rider who has done 3/4 of a lap at Pitch Black without a light Not sure I would recommend it!

Might want to check your light system. A couple of clouds would make that impossible. And though we should have 1/2 moon in the sky if it is clear, the moon will be setting at 23:50. It will truly be a Pitch Black race this year after midnight

Thinking of a ride Friday or Sat night.  Anyone in?

Just got my light combo! Riding early Saturday morning at CR. Probably won't get out in the dark until Monday night.
