The pump track at Aldo Leopold Park is nearing completion, the paving is nearly done and Madison Parks expects it to be open by the end of the month. There is still a fair bit of landscaping, drainage, and restoration work to be done once the paving is complete, so please be patient. That work is weather dependent, so there is no firm date. It will be open when the contractor has removed all of their equipment and paraphernalia, so you can use that as a guideline, and you can be sure we'll send out a message when that happens.
Once it is open, please stay off the freshly seeded areas, so that the grass is still viable in the spring.
The official grand opening won't be until the spring, when the permanent skills loop is installed, but we'll be having a mellow celebration of the opening of the areas first paved pump track on November 6, more details to come. Stop by and give it a go and see what it's all about.
