As many of you know, we traditionally hold a spring fundraiser at Machinery Row Bicycles to kick off the season. It's a great chance to catch up with folks you haven't seen since the fall, raise some money to help support our great trail system, get psyched for the upcoming season, and maybe take home a cool door prize. We haven't been able to hold that event for the last two years (has it really been that long?), but now that things are opening up, we're going to re-create the magic outdoors. There is definitely some catching up to do after the last year-and-a-half!
The event will be this Saturday, 7/24, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Blackhawk Ski Club. The details:
- $20 per person gets you one door prize ticket, food, and beverages. $5 for additional door prize tickets.
- Kids under 17 are free.
- Cash or check only! We might be able to do Paypal, but cellphone reception is spotty at Blackhawk.
- Food: A nice deli spread courtesy of Metcalfe's Market.
- Beer: From our good friends and supporters at Sunshine Brewing and Delta Beer Lab.
- Prizes: A Saris rack, a Group Tour at State Line Distillery, a bike and miscellaneous schwag from Machinery Row.
- Family Friendly: Blackhawk is always family friendly, and will be even moreso with the CORP mobile bike park. And kids are free!
- Blackhawk Membership: Everyone is welcome to attend. If you'd like to try the trails and are not a current Blackhawk member, they'll be offering one-day event memberships fo $5, we'll have that set up about 3:00 if you want to come out early.
- Parking:: There's plenty of parking, but it is spread around. We'll be at the east end unless it's raining, but the west end has more parking, so you may want to head there. Expect to walk (or ride) a bit from your car. Or ride out and avoid the issue!
- Mosquitos: There will be some, come prepared.
- Rain: Event is rain or shine. If it's really raining, we may move to the West Chalet.
