A couple updates on Pleasant View improvements:

The pumptrack will not be going in this year, but the Request for Proposals is going out imminently, with construction specified for late spring/early summer 2023.  Why not this fall?  Construction cannot start until the site grading is complete, and due to a variety of circumstances outside our control, that is not starting until October 1, and the parking lot expansion will be happening at the same time or shortly thereafter.  There was some talk of trying to squeeze the pumptrack in after that work, or trying to do it concurrently, but the prospect of weather or some other complication delaying things and leaving us with something half-built didn't seem worth the risk.  On the bright side, opening up the schedule will likely allow more companies to bid on it, and perhaps get us more for our money.  Again, funding is fully in place, it's going to happen, it's just a part of a large, complicated project which isn't happening as quickly as anyone wants it to.

The once promising idea of fitting single-track into the CXC ski trail corridor easement has proven to be unrealistic; the ski trail itself will not take up the whole corridor, and we thought we could squeeze single-track into the remaining space, but, especially where the ski trail needs to be benched into the side of the hill, there won't be any room left over.  Unfortunately, that means the two-way trail will remain for the foreseeable future.  We are working on some alternative ideas, but they all have enough roadblocks at this point that they aren't worth sharing.

It's a slow road, but things are moving forward.  Thanks for your patience and support!
