Welcome to spring!  April showers bring May flower.... And mountain biking!  The Cross Plains trails are currently closed due to mud season but check out the trail status at www.madcitydirt.com.  We will officially change the status to “open” on when the trails are ready to ride.

We have a spring workday set for Saturday April 30, 2022 from 9am-12pm, so please add this to your calendar.  Meet at the trailhead on CTH KP at 9am.  The more people we can get to come help, the faster we will get the trails back in shape for spring riding!  Everyone is welcome, young and old, and we will have tools for everyone.  We will work on clearing leaves and brush from the trails, fix any erosion problems that may have developed over the winter, and may have a couple special projects.  Also, let me know if you have any kids that are in need of a community service project.  We can always come up with ideas.

Please plan on bringing your gloves, bug spray, water, a loppers (if you have one)...and your bike!  For some activities it may be easier to ride to your assigned work spot.  We will plan on having some food and beverage at the end of the event.  If you think you can make it, please reply to the Facebook event below and pass this information along to friends.

REMINDER that we have a trail cleanup planned for tomorrow, Saturday 4/30.  It looks like we have rain in the forecast so it will be a game time decision tomorrow morning.  If rain is light, we may try to work through it.  Bring rain gear if you are one of the brave!  If wet isn’t for you, let me know and we can find you some other volunteer activities for another date.  We can always use an extra hand to keep our trails riding great.  Thanks!

Its that time of year, if you can lend a hand with weed trimming that would be excellent. We have a nice weed trimmer with all the supplies needed or you are welcome to use your own if its easier.

Post here or message through https://www.facebook.com/CrossPlainsMTB

Thank you!
