A section of the new climb was badly eroded when we had that monster storm a couple months ago.  You might not notice as you are riding, but some of the benching got badly undercut and we are liable to lose a section of trail if we get another rain like that, or, eventually, even with many smaller rains.  So we are going to do some reinforcing this Saturday.  We'll have a gator and/or a power wheelbarrow, but the idea is to get a mess of rock to that spot and build a retaining wall, and many hands make light work, or at least less heavy work.  It would be awesome to have a dozen folks out and bang it out in a couple hours.  Meet at 8:00 in the parking lot.  If you arrive later, find us about 3/4 of the way up the new climb.

If there are enough folks out, there are some low spots and drainage issues that need to be addressed, and will help get the trails open sooner in the spring.

To help planning, let us know if you can make it out.

The pump track is in need of some work, there is some seeding, cleanup, and blowing that can be done, and signs to install.  The repair to the climb is the most critical, but there will be plenty for everyone who makes it out.

The weather looks great, and the last couple cool nights should put a dent in the mosquitos. Come out an help, then get a ride in before the rain comes (again).

    Thank you trail posse!

There were miles of freshly tuned and tweaked hero dirt between noon and sunset mist. Please stay off until dry again.

Don't forget the trail work at Blackhawk next weekend.
