Schwinn Peloton LTD, frame & fork
Size 55, 54.7cm top tube. 2008 model, excellent condition overall. Includes FSA headset, seat clamp, front derailed braze-on mount, and spare rear-derailleur hanger. According to Schwinn: Featuring 'Black Label' monocoque carbon fiber frame and fork. The frame's cross-layered blend of two different grades of carbon fiber yields better acceleration whilst also eliminating road chatter, and both the bottom bracket and head tube areas are awash with extra material (for added stiffness). This “eliminating road chatter†business is no joke. It is a very comfortable frame to ride and yet really responds to pedal input. A very efficient, fast frame, ideal for road racing or long road rides, due to the comfort compared to less ‘vertically compliant’ frames. Overall, minor cosmetic wear. Has one significant dent/scratch in center of the top tube that breaks through the clearcoat. This has been evaluated by Schwinn technicians and has been assessed to have not caused damage to the carbon of the frame, and is also in a low-stress area. Rode it with this dent for 7 years, no issues. $310
