Blue Mound trail stewards Karl Wigdal and Jay Gunderson identified 28 drainage problems on the Regolith trail and got half of them fixed thanks to the help of the Mount Horeb/Driftless NICA squad during the August 22nd work party.
The list of student-athlete and coaches tallied up to 35 volunteers who donated a total of 59 hours, this also gave new crew leaders their first experience managing teams. And they did a great job! These repairs will allow low spots to drain better so we can open the trail much earlier after rain events.
THANK YOU to our trail stewards, crew leaders and Mount Horeb/Driftless NICA volunteers!
