    Trail Description

The bike optimized singletrack at Sycamore Park consists of approximately 1.25 miles of natural surface and chip seal surface trail. The trail has an optional jump line and approximately 15 optional stone features in the chip seal trail. The natural surface trail on the west park boundary has an optional technical rock garden and an easier to moderate trail. All technical features include optional ride around lines. The chip seal trail is resistant to rain and can be considered open during all park hours. The natural surface trail should only be ridden when dry and users are not leaving ruts or footprints.

All trails are marked with difficulty and directions arrows.

This is a free system and is a part of Madison Bicycle Adventure Trail system and Madison Parks.

    Difficulty:

    • Main loop (Green) - beginner friendly loop that has options features that can be easily ridden around. In the northwest corner of the trail, stay right at the fork to enter the woods. This avoids the rock garden but merges back with the loop quickly.
    • Rock Garden (Blue) - more difficult section, take a left at the fork in the northwest corner of the trail to challenge yourself on the rock garden. Find your flow and pick the smoothest line.
    • Drops and Jumps (Black) - advance features off the main loop. Take a hard left off the main loop. This section starts with a drop into a step up, followed by a punchy climb to another drop and two large table-top jumps. You can continue on the main loop or turn right to session the drops and jumps again.

    Access:

4517 Sycamore Ave, Madison, WI 53704

Users can park on the street on Jana Lane or Pulley Drive. There is also a parking lot on Sycamore Avenue near the dog park main entrance. Follow the paved park paths to the trail entrance on the south side of the park or the north west corner of the park.

    Directionality:

Parts of the trail are one way, watch for directional arrows and use caution on two way portions of trail and near all intersections.
