The City of Madison is working on revising their Comprehensive Plan, and Madison Parks is working on their Parks and Open Space Plan for 2018-2022.  While we are making progress working with Parks on improving off-road cycling opportunities in the city, being included in these documents will allow things to move much faster than if we are left out.  "How can I help?" you ask.  Here are a couple ways:

    1. If you haven’t already, fill out the Madison Parks survey of your top 5 activities. Remember to mark “Other” as your 1st or 2nd favorite activity and label it “mountain biking and/or cyclcross”. Let your friends and family members know about this survey as well. Our voice goes further if you fill out one survey per family member. An online version is now available. Please share the link on your social medias.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6DH5MHP

    2. Sign up for email updates about the Madison Parks’ long-range plan. Stay informed; share what you learn. Maybe you’ll find your own way to contribute directly to the planning process. www.cityofmadison.com/parks/projects/2018-2022-park-open-space-plan

    3. Visit www.imaginemadisonwi.com and take another online survey. Imagine Madison is a public listening and opinion gathering campaign to inform the city’s comprehensive planning effort. Madison’s Comprehensive Plan, a guiding document laying out the vision for the community (including Parks), is only updated once every ten years! The survey is more “comprehensive” than just Madison Parks, but still a great opportunity to share your thoughts about off-road bicycling and parks.

    4. Attend a community meeting about Madison’s Comprehensive Plan, and share your passion for off-road cycling face-to-face. The 1st meeting is Monday, December 5 at the Central Library (201 W. Mifflin St.) If you can’t make it on Monday, a second meeting with the exact same agenda and presentation will be held on Wednesday, December 7 in the Atrium Community Room at Village on Park (2300 S. Park St.). More info at www.imaginemadisonwi.com/events

There is also another survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GZ9SGCL.  Right now the disk golfers are crushing us; we can't let that happen!
