Seminole will be having a week of Work Days starting Monday Sept. 28th.

We will break the week into 2 sessions with no work on Wednesday.

A machine and operator will be onsite to help accelerate our progress!

This last push should finish trail-building at Seminole!

SCHEDULE:

Monday 28th -Bench cut EXIT TRAIL
Tuesday 29th -Bench and push corners out on BLUE LOOP

Wednesday 30th - NO TRAIL WORK

Thursday 1st -Clean up from machine tread work
Friday 2nd - Re-enforce water control measures
Saturday 3rd -Work on adding fun/ skills elements

General Plan is to complete tread on the Inner Loop.
(Blue/Intermediate) 

Smooth tread while increasing the radius of turns. Bench-cut combined Exit Trail. Improve water diversion elements. Add rollers and berms to add interest and improve flow of trail. Armor water crossings with large stone.
Revisit bench-cut of steep Hill on Outer Loop (Green/EASY)

Goals:

1. Bench-cut Exit Trail from flat ground just beyond where both trails split to top of hill where trail Bypasses the Entrance.

2. Push back Turn and add Berm to last Right Hand turn before 1st Water Crossing on Inner Loop.

3. Smooth tread between 1st and 2nd Water Crossing on Inner Loop

4. Dig trench and place large lat stones to armor riding surface through the 3rd Water Crossing on Inner Loop

5. Smooth tread and increase radius of Left Hand Turn at top of Hill past 3rd Water Crossing

6. Push back and add Berm to Right Hand downhill Turn past where the trail splits at Large Oak

7. Bench-cut long sweeping Left Hand Turn uphill of large depression

8. Push back Turn and add Berm to Sharp Right Hand Turn up and over the Erratic Mound.

SEMINOLE UPDATE!
We are looking for people who can come out during the day this upcoming week to help finish behind the excavator.

We need people on the following days:

MON 28th
TUES 29th
THURS 1st

Please consider coming out next week to help us finish Seminole even if you only have a few hours.

Work Daze UPDATE

Work will not start until 9:30 am on Monday. The machine operator can not get the machine out to Seminole any earlier than that. I apologize for the delay in this message. Please find Tim H. when you get out to the trail, he is your trail lead for today.

Today was a great first day of machine work! Big thanks to all the volunteers who came out to help!

Tomorrow starts bright and early at 8 am. Your trail lead for the day will be Patricia and Dave so look for them when you head out on the trail.
