OpenVery dry. The singletrack trail is largely trimmed, but still watch out for wild parsnip and thistle out there.
Please don't ride if you are making ruts in the dirt or grass. This leads to erosion and causes trail damage. Thanks!
Remember to purchase your annual
Dane County mountain bike trail pass. This pass is required to ride at Badger Prairie, Seminole, and Camrock. You can now buy a pass at the electronic kiosk at the Badger Prairie dog park (although you will have to mail in a receipt to receive your permanent pass).

Weather
OpenEverything is awesome! Take advantage of the very dry weather and get the Mound under your belt.
Caution on Overload. Two trees down. First one sneaks up on you in the braking zone of the marbles decent after the Loop. The next one is at the bottom of the decent immediately after crossing Ryan Rd. It looks like a log roll, but there is no landing, so it can eat your chainring.
Every trail took a beating from spring runoff. Stay in control and watch out for washouts and other obstacles.
Conditions are generally updated only when there's a change. Subscribe to the forum thread to be notified of trail updates via email. Help year-round by keeping the trails clear of sticks and loose rocks, and reporting obstacles and other issues. Please carry out anything you carry in. Pets must stay on-leash, and their waste leaves with their owner. Check the WDNR website and follow all WDNR guidelines.

AwesomeWhen you are enjoying the great trail conditions, give a big “Thank You” to the Volunteers that made the Battle of CamRock a huge success last weekend! Maybe even consider being a Volunteer at next year’s BoC?
Hey, your friendly trail builder here! I need your help. Before you head out to ride, make sure that you have two things. Your DCP trail pass and check that your IMBA/CORP membership is current, that’s how all this awesomeness happens, Thanks!

Tread lightly on the recently repaired uphill section. Tis the season where weeds are getting in the way. If we can get 4-5 people to spare contribute a half an hour to help weed trim soon, we can help keep the trails clear & help us all avoid picking up those tick hitchhikers.
Please be respectful of the private property at the top of the hill and stay on trail.
We are now up to 4 miles of single track! For some additional mileage park in the lot at Main St and Lagoon St and follow the Zander Park Boardwalk to the MTB trailhead.
Don't forget to like our Facebook page "

OpenAlmost everything is trimmed out pretty well. Use caution as Riverside and Dips have developed some sizeable sandy spots. We need rain!
(When we do get rain, our trails will usually be dry enough to ride within a half day or so)
The Eagles MTB NICA team will be practicing on Tuesday nights from July through the end of October.

OpenGroup ride tonight (6/6)! Little bit of rain knocked the dust down, but otherwise drying quickly. Meet up at Capital Brewery Beer Garden at 5:30p. Roll out at 5:40p. You could also meet us at the trailhead around 6:00p. Conditions are excellent. Tree down right after the old trailhead.
Group ride most Tuesdays, rolling out from Capital Brewery at 5:40, no drop, everyone welcome.
For anyone who felt like the Chipshot climb was too easy, there are now two optional lines at the top of the switchbacks for added difficulty.
Also, thanks to a big volunteer crew from Trek, we have NEW TRAIL! Please
see the forum for more details.
The CXC property north of the trails is currently closed to biking. Much of it is still private property with easements for skiing access, and respecting the wishes and rights of the landowner is vital to one day hopefully having access. Please stay on the established mountain bike trails on the Middleton Bike Park property.

Coming SoonCORP is working with the state DNR to develop a 7+ mile single-track mountain bike trail system in New Glarus Woods State Park, one mile south of New Glarus on State Highway 69. IMBA Trail Solutions is designing this new trail system in conjunction with CORP and the state DNR.
Fundraising and construction will take place in phases, to be completed by the end of 2026, depending on funding and approvals. The total project cost is projected to be around $350,000.
The first phase is a one-mile beginner trail that will be built by volunteers starting in September. The remainder will be professionally built in two-mile segments, with volunteer support as funding allows. Look for scheduled workdays this fall.
So far, $140,000 has been raised! Keep your eyes out for a fundraising effort coming soon.
