The City of Middleton is preparing a study of Middleton’s Urban Greenway with the goal of planning for the future of this important resource. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to further define the greenway, identify emerging economic development opportunities, identify environmental preservation areas, and recommend public infrastructure improvements -- including new recreational opportunities. This study will recommend ways to best integrate the Pleasant View Golf Course into the Urban Greenway, as well as identify new economic and recreational opportunities that complement the golf course, while continuing to provide a top quality golfing experience.
The City has developed a brief survey to understand how the greenway could stimulate new reinvestment in the project study area, especially for potential redevelopment properties that are adjacent to the greenway system. As a member of a recreational group in the Middleton, your insights into the greenway are especially important. We are interested in knowing how you use the greenway, hearing your ideas about new recreational opportunities that could exist in the greenway, and hearing your suggestions about environmental protection and restoration.
