OpenIt was greasy this morning. Probably good now.
Note: NICA practices are from 4:30-6:30 M, T, W and Thurs so the trails will be a bit busier during these times/days. There will also be cyclocross practices (open to anyone) at Badger Prairie every other Wednesday starting Aug 24. Practices start at 5:30, but the course should be set up by 5.
Don't forget to purchase your annual
Dane County mountain bike trail pass. This pass is required to ride at Badger Prairie, Seminole, and Camrock. You can now buy a pass at the electronic kiosk at the Badger Prairie dog park (although you will have to mail in a receipt to receive your permanent pass.)

OpenSome mud present. CORPFest Saturday, August 13! Group rides at 1pm and 3pm, followed by post-ride beverages, grilled food, live music, and camping. Maybe a pixie bike race, and swimming if it's hot?
Trimming is nearly complete. Over Lode trail between the top of the first climb, and the second streambed crossing remain uncut, can you lend a few hours? Contact bluemoundstewards@madcitydirt.com.

Weeds are trimmed back right now. Thank you to all the volunteers for trimming.
Please reach out if you can help with weed trimming this summer. We could use 3-4 volunteers. Thanks.

OpenAll good.
Group rides: Are back on! Tuesday evenings. Roll out from Capital brewery beer garden at 5:40pm. All are welcome regardless of skill or speed. No one gets left behind. We’ll have a few pints at the brewery after the ride.
The temporary trailhead is set up at the new parking lot. Car access is now off Hwy 14 via Schwartz Rd. Construction on additional parking and, after that, the pumptrack will hopefully be continuing over the summer, so watch for construction traffic. If you ride to the trails, bike access is still via the golf course driveway.
The CXC property north of the trails is currently closed to biking. Much of it is still private property with easements for skiing access, and respecting the wishes and rights of the landowner is vital to one day hopefully having access. Please stay on the established mountain bike trails on the Pleasant View property.

A new feature in Northwoods is open, the wide turn option has a MANDATORY GAP JUMP!
Please don’t push your bikes up the trails backwards. Especially Pork Chop. We have had some close calls lately.

OpenPlease use good judgement, and don't ride if you're leaving ruts.
Several sections could be trimmed back, tons of rain recently and humid conditions do not help with drying out. Watch out for poison ivy along side the trail in center woods and keep in mind of the parsnips along the grass trails to the current trail head!
Reminder: the main trail is the easy route and marked with green signs. The blue sections require a little more skill. If you are unsure, walk them first and then give them a try.
