Trails are closed with this wet mess and closed weather. Please help educate and enforce this.Update: The Erdman Ski Trail (that connects to Pleasant View) will be closed to all activities during hunting season (Nov 21-29). Blue Mound
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

Blue Mounds, WI - Weather

Closed
Rain makes for muddy trails, please stay off until frozen again.

As a general rule, if the temperature stays below freezing overnight the trails will be good early morning, but keep an eye on the temps, when it reaches 30F (less in direct sun), the trails will turn to mud quickly. Don't damage the trails by rutting them with your tires or footwear.

Always use good judgment when deciding when and where to ride. Help by keeping the trails clear of sticks and loose rocks, and reporting fallen trees and other issues.

Check the BMSP DNR website or call the park for information on bathrooms, water access, and camping. Please carry out anything you carry in, observe safe distancing, and keep group numbers to the minimum possible. It should go without saying that pets are expected to stay on-leash, and their waste leaves with their owner. Thanks!

Avoid parking at trailhead if the lot is full. Also, please don't park in the neighborhood next to the trails. The idea is to park somewhere else so there won't be a crowd and you won't be giving anyone a reason to complain. Or ride over, it's easy to get to the park from almost anywhere in the area via bike routes. Thanks!

Remember, physical distancing is still important on the trails. Be respectful of other users and ride well within your limits.

Starting 12/7/20 and continuing for the better part of a year, the Velo Underround and portions of the Cannonball and Military Ridge Paths will be closed due to sewer main construction. Access to Seminole from Capital City trail should be unaffected. From the Badger State trail, use the southern exit ramp. It should be pretty apparent.

As a reminder, please don't ride on the trails when they are wet or soft. If your tires are leaving a rut, time to stop riding.

NEW: We added some fun wood features in the north field. You can ride by them if prefered. Or you can test your skill level on each feature. Reminder: the main trail is the easy route and marked with green signs. The blue sections require a little more skill. If you are unsure, walk them first and then give them a try.

Remember, social distancing is still important on the trails. Be respectful of other users, ride well within your limits, and stay on designated trails.
