Fast when Frozen. Reports of multiple flat tires on the connector use caution - carry a spare. Ride on the far left of the ski trail when going from BH to PV (north side), as snow begins to fall.

Blue Mound

Blue Mounds, WI
Ice
Mostly icy hardpack. The trails are in good shape, some loose snow but that should firm up.

PLEASE, do not use muddy trails. Generally it takes at least 12 hours of 20 degree temps to freeze the tread enough.

Consider joining our email list. We send out occasional notifications for group rides and requests for trail help. Contact the Blue Mound Trail Stewards for more info.

Quarry Park

Madison, WI
Freeze/Thaw
Ride while frozen. There’s always work to do, if you're interested in helping out, please let us know. We have had a few instances of trail fairies taking out roots to make sections easier, we welcome your assistance but when you remove roots that hold soil on slopes it allows the entire slope to erode, and this instance will likely kill a very nice tree. Ask we have dirt and tools to resolve other ways. So please ask.

Sheehan Park

Sun Prairie, WI

It's that time of year again. Remember to only ride the trails when they are frozen. Until we hit the constant cold, consider riding in the early morning or later in the evening. Or hit the trainer until we get a good snow base. As a reminder, no maintenance is being provided at this time. Thus trail conditions may not be ideal. We hope to have an updated agreement with the city soon.
