CORP has 12 trails that we build and maintain in the Dane county area. Use this map to explore our trail locations and learn more about them.

Badger Prairie
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

Verona, WI - Weather

Fresh/Loose Snow
These trails get a lot of foot traffic and do not get groomed, so they may not be pleasant to ride on in the winter.

Don't forget to purchase your annual Dane County mountain bike trail pass. This pass is required to ride at Badger Prairie, Seminole, and Camrock. You can now buy a pass at the electronic kiosk at the Badger Prairie dog park (although you will have to mail in a receipt to receive your permanent pass.)

Blackhawk
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

Middleton, WI - Weather

Packed Snow
Trail Conditions: Groomed all the trails on 1/24, including Switchbacks. Snow is soft...run low pressure.

Special update: It's FAT BIKE-ONLY season: You must use a "fat bike" (i.e., tires 3.8 inches or more). Learn more and check out the map at: Winter Fat Biking Riding on man-made snow is prohibited, except where indicated. Dirt from your tires is bad for the snow and the skis.

All winter trail closures: Ziggy Down, Upper Springs. Switchbacks is now out-and-back only (or down and up). TWO-WAY in the winter only: Fence Line, Ziggy Up, Creekside, Springs

Biking Tip: What does "Freeze/Thaw" mean? The trails are open to ride when temps are below freezing (e.g., mornings), and closed when the temps are warmer, and/or when the sun is shining on them. Please use good judgment this time of year. If you're leaving a rut, it's not the time to be riding.

Club calendar: Calendar details are here

Membership is required to ride at Blackhawk: Join at Memberships Rates are ($25 student/$45 single/$90 family)” fees go back to help build and maintain trails.

For more information: Check out the Blackhawk webpage Blackhawk Mountain Biking, like us on Facebook or Email bike@blackhawkskiclub.org with questions or comments.

Blue Mound
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

Blue Mounds, WI - Weather

Fresh/Loose Snow
Gneiss, Schist, and Overload have all been snowshoed. Will need a day to set up, but will be sweet riding when it does.

Hikers and trail runners: When possible please stay to the side of the trail to avoid creating "post holes" on the tread surface that negatively affect the experience for other trail users when the snow thaws and refreezes into place. Over Lode is a great option for hikers in the winter. Thanks!

Consider the trails closed if temps go above 32°F, or 29°F in sunlight, or as conditions warrant. Check the weather before you head out, and make a backup plan.

Help by keeping the trails clear of sticks and loose rocks, and reporting obstacles and other issues. Please carry out anything you carry in. Pets must stay on-leash, and their waste leaves with their owner. Check the WDNR website and follow all WDNR guidelines.

CamRock Bike Park
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

Cambridge, WI - Weather

Caution
Icy, snow covered, and generally variable conditions. Conditions change too fast to post updates so just use caution and evaluate before riding. New skill features this year. Can You master them? This is a great place to work on skills like doubles, berms, and how to hit a drop. Note: 'CamRock Bike Park' is the skills park at the North end of CamRock only. Conditions at the bike park may not represent the entire CamRock trail system!

Pleasant View
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

Middleton, WI - Weather

Packed Snow
Trails: Groomed on 1/24.

Update on CXC Trail Head: It is open, but the parking lot is restricted to SKIERS ONLY for this season. Parking is limited at the skiers pay a fee for access. Fat bike users can park on Schwartz Road at the base of the hill (before the CXC gate) and ride up to the trail head. Follow the signs for fat biking.

The CXC property north of the trails is currently closed to biking. Much of it is still private property with easements for skiing access, and respecting the wishes and rights of the landowner is vital to one day hopefully having access. Please stay on the established mountain bike trails on the Pleasant View property.

Sun Prairie, WI - Weather

Packed Snow
Please use good judgement and don't ride if you're leaving ruts. Please don't ride on the trails when they are wet or soft. Keep in mind new work completed on the wooden steps on the decent heading towards the middle woods. Installed 8’ wide railroad tie steps for a wider platform and for an easier progression.

Reminder: the main trail is the easy route and marked with green signs. The blue sections require a little more skill. If you are unsure, walk them first and then give them a try.
