Fresh/Loose Snow
Fresh snow overnight. Lots of it. Get out and enjoy, but be aware that the ground may be soft underneath. If you're bringing up mud from underneath the snow, it's time to end your ride.

Please don't ride if you are leaving ruts.

Dirt trails will most likely be muddy when not frozen.

Don't forget to purchase your annual Dane County mountain bike trail pass. This pass is required to ride at Badger Prairie, Seminole, and Camrock. You can now buy a pass at the electronic kiosk at the Badger Prairie dog park (although you will have to mail in a receipt to receive your permanent pass.)

The Gneiss project is complete! A huge thank you to all our supporters!

Conditions are generally updated only when there's a change. Subscribe to the forum thread to be notified of trail updates via email. Help year-round by keeping the trails clear of sticks and loose rocks, and reporting obstacles and other issues. Please carry out anything you carry in. Pets must stay on-leash, and their waste leaves with their owner. Check the WDNR website and follow all WDNR guidelines.

Freeze/Thaw
Hey kids! We are now in the official shoulder/mud season so if you plan to ride make sure the ground is frozen. If it’s not and you need a dirt fix, post up the CR trail stewards, we have PLENTY of preseason tasks available! Spring workday is 4/22, see you there!!

Hey, your friendly trail builder here! I need your help. Before you head out to ride, make sure that you have two things. Your DCP trail pass and check that your IMBA/CORP membership is current, that’s how all this new trail happens. You're welcome!

The CXC property north of the trails is currently closed to biking. Much of it is still private property with easements for skiing access, and respecting the wishes and rights of the landowner is vital to one day hopefully having access. Please stay on the established mountain bike trails on the Middleton Bike Park property.

New Glarus Woods
Trail Guide - Trail Guide

New Glarus, WI - Weather

Coming Soon
CORP is working with the state DNR to develop a 7+ mile single-track mountain bike trail system in New Glarus Woods State Park, one mile south of New Glarus on State Highway 69. IMBA Trail Solutions is designing this new trail system in conjunction with CORP and the state DNR. Fundraising and construction will take place in phases, to be completed by the end of 2026, depending on funding and approvals. The total project cost is projected to be around $350,000. The first phase is a one-mile beginner trail that will be built by volunteers starting in September. The remainder will be professionally built in two-mile segments, with volunteer support as funding allows. Look for scheduled workdays this fall. So far, $140,000 has been raised! Keep your eyes out for a fundraising effort coming soon.
