    Trail Description

In 2015, cyclocross advocates worked with the City of Madison to open its first dedicated cyclocross practice area. Mostly open grassland and using only the natural landscape, the trails feature something for all cyclocross skill levels, including off-camber and short steep hill sections. The trail is designed by local riders and maintained in partnership with Madison Parks Division.

    • Surface: 100% mowed grass
    • Miles: 1+
    • Max. Grade: 17%
    • Max. Elevation Change: approximately 15 feet
Northeast Park is suitable for all beginners getting their first taste of off-road bicycling.

At this time, Northeast Park has no bathrooms, shelters or potable water. There is very limited shade from the sun. Park users are encouraged to plan accordingly. Nearest bathrooms and water (commercial businesses) are located approximately ½ mile away at American Parkway and Buttonwood Drive.
