We recently received approval to begin a reroute on the beginner section at Blue Mound State Park, just below the trail head. The new trail will bypass a section of trail that is rutted and stays muddy for long periods of time. See the attached map for details. Completion of this project will add days if not weeks to the trail season at the park!
We'll be working this Saturday, Oct 18th from 8AM to 4PM. We will be trenching and filling mostly, and depending how much help we get, may start clearing corridor. Please consider coming out for a few hours to help. The park should be in full color to boot!
Bring boots, long pants, work gloves, and maybe a shovel if you have one. Dressing in layers is recommended. There will be brats for lunch, and beer for the afternoon stalwarts. Or you can BYO. Hope to see you there!
