    not sure if this is the right spot for this but; I stumbled upon this, for a project I have in mind, and I thought it might be of interest to someone here?

    Looks like it would be a handy little unit (if it works as well as they say it does) and not a huge cash layout.

    This was on display at the Fat Bike Grooming workshop I attended. I talked to a couple of clubs that bought these and no longer use them. They say it leaves a roller or wave with each stride the hiker makes. Not a smooth trail and annoying. I have some pictures of a nice manual groomer that can be made out of 2 × 4's. Also contacts of people who have built and are using them. My bad for not getting this info out sooner. I will try to get it out this weekend.

    that's the way I understand it. 

    now im interested in seeing the apparatus that Chuck is talking about.
